Dog Grooming in Singapore
Keeping your dog well-groomed is not just about appearance. Regular dog grooming also supports better hygiene, comfort and overall well-being. At OLO, our certified groomers provide basic and full dog grooming services tailored to your dog’s breed, coat condition and individual needs. We also offer gentle puppy grooming services to help younger dogs become comfortable with the grooming process.
Why Grooming is Important for Your Dog
There are several reasons why you should take your dog for regular grooming sessions.
Better Hygiene
Regular grooming helps remove dirt, loose fur and unpleasant odours from your dog’s coat. It also keeps the skin, ears, nails and other areas clean, reducing the risk of irritation and hygiene-related issues.
Flea Prevention
Fleas and other parasites may hide within your dog’s coat. During a dog groom, our groomers may notice visible signs of fleas, ticks or skin irritation and inform you when further attention is needed.
Maintain Comfort
Long fur can become matted and cause problematic tangles and skin irritation, while overgrown nails can cause pain when your dog moves around. Regular grooming keeps these issues in check and ensures your dog stays comfortable while enjoying their favourite activities.
Early Detection of Visible Concerns
During the grooming session, our groomers may notice visible concerns such as skin irritation, unusual lumps, ear build-up or changes in the coat. We will inform you when something may require closer attention from a veterinarian.

Dog Grooming Process

Appointment Setting
Reach out to us with the relevant details about your pet and their grooming needs, and we will respond as soon as possible with your appointment details.

Initial Checkup
Our groomer may perform a quick checkup to examine your dog’s overall appearance and spot potential problems early. They will then outline what to expect from your chosen service.

Brushing
We will start by brushing your dog’s coat to remove mats and evenly distribute their skin’s natural oils. It also removes dead skin cells while promoting new skin growth.

Bath Time
A lukewarm bath can pamper your dog with a gentle yet pleasing cleanse that thoroughly washes their body, removing dirt, dust, and other particles.

Drying
After the bath, drying is essential to prevent moisture buildup that may lead to bacterial or fungal issues. To ensure your dog’s well-being, we will also towel them dry.

Ear Clean-up
Our groomers will carefully clean your dog’s ear to get rid of unpleasant buildup while keeping them safe and comfortable.

Shaving
Trimming and shaving help maintain your dog’s coat, and our groomers are well-trained to minimise your pet’s anxiety while avoiding sensitive areas.

Nail Clipping
Our team will trim your dog’s nails with care, avoiding the sensitive quick that can cause significant pain and bleeding. We then file the nails to prevent your dog from accidentally hurting itself.

10/07/2026Clarissa, a member of their staff, consistently demonstrates exceptional amiability and patience in disseminating essential information. My dog, who is typically apprehensive, rapidly acclimated to the cage-free grooming environment due to the precautionary measures implemented to accommodate dogs of varying temperaments and attentive and friendly staffs.

Frequently Asked Questions About Dog Grooming
What is animal grooming?
Animal grooming refers to professional care services that help maintain a pet’s hygiene, coat and overall well-being. These services typically include bathing, brushing, nail trimming, ear cleaning and coat styling. At OLO, we provide cage-free dog grooming with gentle handling for a safe and comfortable experience.
What's the difference between animal grooming and pet grooming?
Animal grooming and pet grooming generally refer to the same services for domestic pets. In Singapore, the term pet grooming is more commonly used, covering bathing, nail clipping, coat trimming and hygiene care for dogs and cats.
How often should I take my dog for a grooming session?
This may depend on various factors, including your dog’s size, breed, and coat type. Some short-haired dogs may not require regular grooming sessions, while dogs with large, thick coats may need more frequent grooming sessions. Typically, you only need to send your dog for a session once every two to three months. Our groomers can help you arrange a schedule that works best for you and your fur kids.
When should my puppy have its first grooming session?
A puppy can usually be introduced to gentle grooming after completing the necessary vaccinations and receiving clearance from a veterinarian. Starting with short and positive puppy grooming sessions can help them become more comfortable with brushing, bathing, nail trimming and being handled by a groomer.
What are your operating hours?
Our three establishments are open from Monday to Sunday, starting from 10 am to 7 pm. Feel free to contact us to arrange a suitable time for your dog’s grooming sessions.
How long does a basic or full grooming session take?
A basic grooming session typically takes around 1.5 to 2 hours, while full grooming usually takes around 2 to 3 hours, and can vary depending on the size of your dog. A session may take longer if your dog’s fur is significantly matted or tangled.
What if I need to cancel or reschedule my dog’s grooming session?
We would appreciate it if you notify us of any cancellations or rescheduling at least two (2) days in advance. Doing so will allow us to make the necessary preparations to accommodate new appointments from other dog owners.
